YOUTH CHEER SCHEDULE

Our Varsity Cheerleaders have prepared an exciting four-day camp for your daughters that I believe they will enjoy more than ever! We have split the camp into two age groups in order to give a more tailored experience to your camper! We have new cheers, a new camp dance, and short cheerleading technique clinics designed to give your daughter a glimpse into what cheerleading is all about. It is my hope that a few of these girls will graduate into the varsity uniforms in a few short years!

MORNING SESSION: TRANSITION - FIRST GRADE

T-1 Morning Session Info

(Daily drop-off will be at the Gym Lobby: Concession Stand Entrance ) **For safety purposes, please do not drop off any T-1 campers before 8:55am because there will be nobody to supervise the children. For safety, doors will remain locked until 9am. Please make sure your child has been checked in, has their snack, and has received a name sticker each morning before departing campus. If you would like siblings together and they are in a different session, PLEASE notify Samantha Rouse at drop-off so those special shots can be scheduled. 

MONDAY AUG 12 

9-12

9am: We will all warmup together with dances or games, before splitting up into groups to get ready for our fun rotational classes!

9:30 - 10:00: First Rotational Round!

Dance Class is where our mini cheerleaders will learn their dance routine for our upcoming performances! 

 

 Jump Clinic is where our mini cheerleaders will learn the different stretches to prepare for jumps, and then all of the different types of jumps that our JV and Varsity girls perform at games and competitions!

Stunt Squad is where our mini cheerleaders will learn what it takes to be a flyer! They will review all of the safety and rules that comes with stunting and will get a chance to try out a few safe and basic stunts with our Varsity girls! This is also where they will learn correct tumbling methods to perform their own 'tumble run'. 

Motions & Cheer Class: Here, mini cheerleaders learn quite a few chants and cheers in which they will perform at halftime at our games and pep-rally!

 

Art: In art, cheerleaders get to create their own cheer bows, picture frames, friendship bracelets and much more! Crafts will be collected and placed inside their goodie bags at the end of camp. 

10:00: Snack! 

10:30 - 10:45: Rotational Rounds!

11:00: Brain Break + Games!

11:30 - 12:00:  Rotational Rounds!

TUESDAY AUG 13

9-12

9:00: We will all warmup together with dances or games, before splitting up into groups to get ready for our fun rotational classes!

9:30 - 10:00: First Rotational Round! This round will actually be PICTURES this day. Mrs. Staci Basden will be photographing mini cheerleaders with the Squad. A 5x7 will be distributed to each mini cheer family. If you would like additional photographs, please fill out this form and bring it to camp or email Mrs. Staci Basden at sbasden@parrottacademy.org. If you would like siblings together and they are in a different camp, PLEASE notify Samantha Rouse at drop-off so those special shots can be scheduled.

Performance begins promptly at 11:30 am in the Gym.

Cameras and guests are welcome! Cheerleaders will be around to take additional photos. Video of the performance will be available in the google drive the following day. Please remember to check the lunchbox bin and lost-and-found for any items before departing. 

AFTERNOON SESSION: SECOND GRADE - SIXTH GRADE

2-5 Afternoon Session Info

(Daily drop-off will be at the Gym Lobby: Concession Stand Entrance ) **For safety purposes, please do not drop off any second session (2nd -5th grade) campers before 1 PM. Our cheerleaders will be taking a short lunch break and then preparing for our older campers to arrive. For safety, doors will remain locked until 1pm. Please make sure your child has been checked in and has received a name sticker each day before departing campus and make sure they have a snack. If you would like siblings together and they are in a different camp, PLEASE notify Samantha Rouse at drop-off so those special shots can be scheduled. 

MONDAY AUG 12

1 - 4

1:00pm :First Rotational Round! Warmup will be together and in individual groups. 

1:30: Snack

2:00 - 3:55: Rotational Rounds!
