My name is Samantha Rouse and I have been the APA Varsity Cheer Coach since 2020. I attended APA from middle school all the way through upper school. My two siblings also attended Parrott Academy and my mother is a teacher assistant out here, so you can say Parrott Academy is my home away from home. I joined the APA cheerleading team 9th-12th grade. I had a wonderful experience under Holly King as my coach, who guided our team to win numerous awards and titles. My senior year I was Captain. I currently teach 1st-8th grade Visual Art and coach the Elementary and Middle School Art Teams.

As a teacher and coach, I understand the difficulty our students face with balancing rigorous academics with athletics and extra curricular activities. It is my goal to coach a student athlete, where the student comes first. Our fall cheer season, and competition season, ranges from the end of July to early November, and our winter cheer season ranges from November to March.
